Asbestos
To better protect the environment, Texas enacted regulations aimed at the verification of asbestos-containing materials within public and commercial buildings. The Texas Asbestos Health Protection Rules (TAHPR) are specific to the renovation and demolition of asbestos-containing materials (ACM).
When working through the permit process with any Texas municipality, a survey of the subject property will often be required. It is important to understand your options surveying a property for asbestos. EnviroPhase helps identify, manage, and oversee the removal of asbestos in public and commercial buildings. Mold
Indoor air quality is often not considered during the design and construction phase of a building’s life cycle. Only once the building is occupied and complaints of ventilation or other issues arise does an owner become aware of this.
These issues tend to appear more frequently in areas where the outside air quality is poor. This requires ventilation and removal of contaminates more frequently. To mitigate these issues, we offer indoor air quality and moisture assessments to be preventive. In the event moisture damage has already occurred and led to microbial growth we provide microbial assessments and protocols for remediation.
In addition to Texas’ fight against the Asbestos health hazard, the Texas Mold Assessment and Remediation Rules were put into effect. There rules were prepared to ensure that anyone working as a licensed mold professional in the State of Texas follow standards to protect public health. Our range of services include the following:
- Indoor Air Quality Parameters Testing
- Water Intrusion & Moisture Mapping Assessments
- Mold Remediation Assessments and Protocols
- Mold Remediation Oversight and Clearance Testing

Lead
When performing renovation or demolition of public buildings and private residences there is a risk that lead-based paint is present. To protect our health, the Environmental Protection Agency provides the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule (RRP). This applies to homes, child care facilities, and pre-schools built before the year 1978. Lead inspections and risk assessments are the first step to managing lead hazards. Our experienced staff will help assess, evaluate, and manage lead-based paint hazards.

Silica
Where employee exposure to respirable Crystalline Silica may be present, OSHA maintains an Action Level that has been in effect since 2016. If your employees have consistent enough exposure to Silica, then an Exposure Plan will be a useful record to keep on site. Having documentation and analytics to show dust emissions are controlled will keep your company in compliance and away from regulatory inspections.
Our experienced staff will ensure that your operations are covered to include:
- respiratory protection
- engineering controls
- written exposure control and exposure sampling
