The PST Program has established rules to regulate PST/UST facilities and cleanup resulting from fuel and oil releases. Fuel releases occurring at PST facilities are issued a Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) ID number and regulated by the PST Program.
Fuel releases are discovered during fuel system failures, during removal of underground storage tanks, or performance of Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
