EnviroPhase was founded in 2005 with the goal of helping customers in the commercial real estate space best assess and mitigate environmental risks.
Today, we’re a full-service environmental firm that has helped thousands of clients, many who exclusively rely on EnviroPhase as a trusted advisor and partner. EnviroPhase is headquartered in Dallas, Texas and performs project work throughout the state of Texas and beyond.
Steve Haglund
Managing PartnerSteve Haglund is principal with Escalante Growth Holdings, a lower middle market investment firm partnering with EnviroPhase. Steve has over twenty years of experience in strategy, business development, marketing, operations and practice development in the information technology and oil & gas industries. Before joining the EnviroPhase leadership team, Steve was president of NeoFirma, was general manager at Perficient, co-founded and served as president of Insolexen, and was a manager with Anderson Consulting (now Accenture).
Steve began his career as environmental engineer for FMC Corporation, and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University.
Scott Bass
Managing PartnerScott Bass has over twenty years and is a proven environmental expert specializing in Phase I and II ESAs, property condition assessments, gas station tank removal, remediation, and asbestos project management. Scott founded EnviroPhase in 2005 and has led the firm to consistent, steady growth since founding. Prior to EnviroPhase, he was president of ATEC, a vehicle emissions testing company.
Kevin Almaguer PG, CAPM
Program Director - Phase II/Mitigation DivisionKevin Almaguer is a professional geologist providing environmental consulting services with extensive experience developing workplans for subsurface investigations and working with state regulatory agencies to resolve pollution cases. Prior to joining EnviroPhase, Kevin was principal geologist at Earth Solutions where he performed environmental assessments at petroleum storage tanks and other industrial facilities.
Robert Schoenewe PG, CAPM
Consulting GeologistRobert Schoenewe is a licensed professional geologist with extensive experience conducting environmental inspections, managing projects and performing various due diligence site assessment and remediation activities. Robert is committed to the highest levels of professional integrity and exceptional quality. He is skilled at interpretation, understanding, and applying various environmental agency regulations to specific project requirements for the financial, industrial, commercial, municipal, and petroleum/petrochemical business sectors. Robert has a strong health and safety background providing site-specific plans and job hazard recognition and analysis. Robert began his career in the petroleum industry and then attended Oklahoma State’s Practical Approaches to Groundwater Hydrology and entered into environmental consultancy. Robert holds a BS in Geology from Oklahoma State University.
Bryson Wallace
Client DevelopmentBryson brings 15 years of experience in client development and project management roles to EnviroPhase. He has an extensive background with customer relations in both the energy and information technology industries. Bryson focuses on customer needs and transparency, ensuring our clients receive the best customer experience from project inception thru completion.
Bryson has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Jennifer Wiberg
Director, Environmental ServicesJennifer Wiberg comes to EnviroPhase with a well-established career with extensive due diligence site assessment experience and proven management of environmental inspections for industrial, manufacturing, retail/commercial, assisted living, medical, and multi-family residential properties. Jennifer has demonstrated leadership in managing projects involving soil, groundwater, and air sampling. She has a strong asbestos consulting background, providing asbestos inspections, abatement specifications, management plans, and project management during abatement activities. Jennifer approaches each client project with integrity, attention to detail, and quality in mind.
Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Graduate degree from Texas State University. She is a licensed asbestos consultant with the state of Texas.
Patty Trigueros
Operations ManagerPatty Trigueros leads the EnviroPhase back office where she is responsible for managing customer contracts and accounting. If you have ever done business with EnviroPhase then you will be familiar with Patty’s rapid response times and ability to field e-mails and phone calls all while coordinating multiple projects, including environmental site assessments, mitigation, remediation programs, soil management, tank removal, asbestos testing, abatement, air monitoring, RSRA’s records search and risk assessments.
Matthew Romer
Lead, Industrial Hygiene DivisionMatthew Romer is a Licensed environmental inspector with extensive experience in asbestos inspections, abatement oversight, project management, code compliance, sampling under governmental AHERA standards, and industrial hygiene monitoring for lead, mold, and silica. Before joining EnviroPhase, Matthew was a project manager at The Vertex Companies and engineering technician at Enercon Services.

Michell Hales
Manager, Phase II/Mitigation DivisionMichelle Hales is an experienced project manager with a distinguished career working in the environmental services industry and proven skills in RCRA, environmental compliance, remediation, sustainability, and hazardous waste management. Prior to EnviroPhase, Michell was a project manager at TRC Companies where she led a variety of strategic due diligence projects.
Gabriela Serpas
Associate Environmental ConsultantGabriela Serpas is a geologist who specializes in Phase I ESAs. She obtained her B.S in Geology at Texas A&M University. Gabriela has experience and proven skills conducting Phase I and II ESA, environmental compliance, groundwater sampling, core sampling and petroleum and hydrocarbon system analysis. Before joining the EnviroPhase Phase I team, Gabriela was a senior well site geologist for Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation.

A.J. Lewis is an Associate Environmental Scientist in the Phase II/Mitigation & Remediation team. He has a variety of environmental consulting project experience assisting clients with regulatory compliance Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site investigations, field sampling, and remediation/corrective action.
A.J. has been in the environmental consulting industry since graduating with his B.S. in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2022. He is currently pursuing his Geologist in Training (GIT) certification through the State of Texas Board of Professional Geoscientist, and he plans on pursuing his Professional Geologist (P.G.) licensure and Corrective Action Project Management (CAPM) certification after gaining more experience in the environmental consulting industry.
Heather Douglass
Recruitment / Human ResourcesHeather is an Air Force Veteran that brings over 20 years of recruiting and HR experience to EnviroPhase. Heather’s integrity, passion for building professional relationships and a quality focused recruitment process has secured her a position with the EnviroPhase Team. In addition to her full-cycle recruitment role with EnviroPhase, Heather is an HR Specialist for the Federal Government.
